Forest School Canada is a national endeavour to promote nature-based education for young children. The launch is taking place today and tomorrow in Ottawa. Marlene Power, founder of Carp Ridge Forest Preschool, is leading this initiative. Enid and I have been fortunate to connect a couple of times with Marlene via Skype to discuss Forest School Canada among other topics.

I am so excited to hear more about the Kindergarten as it progresses this year as I have a number of my Preschool studentswho will be attending your Kindergarten. Is there a website where updates on the school will be ongoing throughout the year?? I am excited about this new venture.
Hi there I have just found this article in the magazine “Boulevard” great this is really great.I homeschooled my boys here on the Island . We woke up did the chores ,did some school work but best of all was when we went out into the forest . We canoed and caught our supper. Now my boys thank me often for how they were raised .My oldest has just bought a new home just off the water in Sooke with his gal and their 4 month old daughter .They are real outdoors folks who hike the many trails .I’m sure they will be very interested in your Outdoor Kindergarten. Thanks so much .
Interesting article in the Toronto Star about our school and initiative in Toronto.
